Anybody with access to a car or bus can get to a vaccination site. This is dumb.

Every black person I’ve talked to doesn’t trust the vaccine. They remember Tuskegee all too well.

Old generation blacks I've talked to distrust the government, politicians, and the media. One gentleman pretty much said that from his experience no one cares for black people and community, they only cater to the blacks to use them. When I first met him I thought he was anti Trump, but over time found that he was part of the silent majority.

This one old black guy I know is like that. Visited where I used to live, in a bad neighborhood, during the summer riots. “If you got jumped for your down here I’m jumping in. Because your skin don’t matter to me since we’re all brothers in Christ my friend” unfortunately the urban youth harass him all the time

Soft bigotry of low expectations, it never ends. Aren't capable of getting ID's, aren't capable of getting vaccine's.

"and it obscures opportunities to address the primary barrier to Covid-19 vaccination: access."

This is a lie.

I know for a fact that there have been vaccines delivered into black communities and they are still there because they do not want them. Additionally, some suburban folks do want them, have run out in their areas, and are too scared to go to inner city locations to get vaccinated.

Maybe they still remember Tuskegee.
