From their perspective, police are either locking innocent black people up at a staggering rate or letting non-black criminals run amuck. Neither of which seem more likely than our perspective which is that black people commit more crime for potentially various reasons that should be discussed and addressed.
They'd probably say the "crimes" contributing to this skewed stat aren't really crimes. They're non-violent drug offenses that are used to target the black community. But the problem is this general trend also exists with violent crimes like murder. So are police largely locking up black people for murders they didn't commit and letting the actual non-black murders go free? It just seems like an absurd proposition. They're suggesting that police generally hate black people more than they want to catch murderers... That's one hell of a social justice pill to choke down.
It’s because understanding this means the person needs to accept the reality that one racial group is more dysfunctional, violent, or in some way inferior compared to others. This disagreeable fact makes people’s think they’re a racists for accepting it so their brains short circuit because the refuse to believe that this could be true.
In any other study of data, it would be perfectly normal to assign trends or patterns to different demographics and people’s would have no problem accepting those trends (I.e. men are more violent, young people are more likely to go to clubs, women are more likely to buy clothes, etc.). However when the demographic trait in question is race and the conclusions drawn from the data has negative connotation, culturally people’s have been programmed to not accept it and assume something else must be going on that is a skewing the data. It’s almost a self fulfilling prophecy in a way.
There are countless examples of black individuals exceeding and surpassing peers of other races in terms of intelligence, success, confidence, spirituality, devotion, empathy, cognitive abilities etc etc. Many of which are alive and well, and, support, speak on behalf of, and lead your (political) cause as well as mine.
Having said that, "God is no respecter of persons" and if one calls themselves a Christian they cannot submit that their racial background makes them superior to anyone. "all men are created equal". God looks on the heart of men.
What's really troubling is this attitude and racial superiority complex attempting to seep into the overall movement of God first, family and country that brings us all here in the first place.
