If he followed along the entire time, why did he leave the chambers within a few minutes of them starting to read it???

He said he got a copy about an hour into it, so maybe he left to go grab it? Just because he left doesn’t mean he didn’t come back.

He’s also the guy who asked that it be read aloud so I’m not sure where you’re going with this.

I’m hesitant to believe any politician and believe that they do most of their actions for optics more so than actual belief. Don’t get me wrong, I believe it should be law that no bill should be passed without a reading on the floor, but I don’t know if I believe he actually followed along for 11 hours when politicians seem hesitant to work for more than two.
