My wife finally called me a conspiracy theorist for trying to get her to look at coronavirus data and for holding the position that the response to it has been about power and control rather than the public good. Great!

If you live by a city take her down town for some reason and drive by all the homeless laying around following none of the cdc “guide lines” and still not dead.

You’d think if the virus was as bad as they claim there would be fewer homeless people because most of them would be dead.

keep pointing this out to all the liberals crazies. it is just another fact they choose to ignore.

The contradictions you have to ignore to “believe science” boggles the mind

I remember in the early 90’s I was told by teachers and news and “scientists” that the polar bears were going to be extinct in ten years and there would be no more sea ice.

tepson [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah us kids in the 90’s got hit with the global warming business throughout the school years. But, somehow, it still felt less vicious and manipulative. Like an old church lady lecturing you on church etiquette. Now the climate fucks and the COVID fucks froth and bark and sound like they want to kill or imprison you to enforce their dogma.

Well they do want to kill you and intend on it.

COVID is such a scam. My girlfriend and I had it, and it wasn't even as bad as when I had the normal flu a few years ago. Barely had a fever for a day and felt tired for a week and that was it.

I also know around 12 other people who also got it and the same thing. I suppose it could cause complications in very elderly people or people in poor health like any other virus would, but the entire thing was overhyped as a political tool against Trump. And now conveniently, the hysteria over it has ended as soon as Biden got in.

A bunch of the relatively fit over 60 year olds where I am got it and they're all fine. One took a few months to get her sense of smell back. My much younger fat doorman who got it and got put on a vent however... RIP. It's mostly a scam. But there are a lot of cetacean Americans. =/

RedPilledRaven 7 points ago +7 / -0

Hit her with the my body my choice meme.

DeadOverRed 7 points ago +7 / -0

Well, it's not a theory, but it's damn sure a conspiracy.

tepson [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

That is my point of view. It is happening, yes, but the idea of quarantining young(ish) healthy people so that the vulnerable people don’t have to do anything different is obscene. Last summer when we fought about this she argued that it wasn’t fair for vulnerable populations to have to protect themselves and that it’s our job to protect them lol

DeadOverRed 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's really maddening to try to make sense of a position based in no truth or logic.

It's a slow process fren. I got my wife at least considering not getting the vaccination, but remember, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make her get a vaccination.

Welcome to the club. It takes a while but eventually she will come around. It took the riots for me to get across to my wife what was going in every day in this country. Now she is spreading my "conspiracies" to her family, most of which agree. Her sister in california however.......

2
tepson [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

That gives me hope, a year of living “locked down” first as she was pregnant and then with our son has really taken its toll

1
E-dantes 1 point ago +1 / -0

Dont hammer it into her, just point out the little inconsistencies in their reasonings for the lockdowns, and that they don't even adhere to them themselves. And never be the one to bring it up to her, let her bring it up, and little red pills like reeces pieces for e.t.

California people are lost. There is no hope there......

Divorce ain't so bad...

8
E-dantes 8 points ago +9 / -1

It is for the kids.

2
ObamakilledJoan 2 points ago +2 / -0

I’ve raised my daughters alone. Sometimes divorce is best for the kids.

2
E-dantes 2 points ago +2 / -0

I will concede that.

Your first citation is shit. It doesn't say anything about divorce being better than marriage. It says studies show that ~80% of children from divorce will self report that they are fully functional as adults. That's not relevant to this thread or your claim of "divorce is better than dysfunctional marriage."

I'll go ahead and read the second one, but judging by the first source given I would bet a sizeable amount that you didn't even read it yourself. Thus you are technically insulting both of our intelligences. Me by assuming I am too stupid or lazy to read the sources you provide, and you for providing sources that you didn't even read.

Any asshole online can DDG a sentence and then cut and paste the results. I was asking for an actual source oh great learned one with ample free time.

EDIT: your second source is even shittier than the first. It's a G-d anonymous blog post with no statistics or other citations within. I think we're done here.

Look at me i can easily find data from people that hate the nuclear family, woweeee, look at me.

Seriously try looking up data about kids raised in single parent households you dumb fuck

1
maleitch 1 point ago +3 / -2

Not a joke. You are spouting off Oprah level psychobabble.

There are infinite studies showing kids from divorced homes suffer more than those from married households.

Ahh yes, quoting some "expert" as interviewed on Anderson cooper. Next you will be sending me links to experts who justify teaching anal to little kids or how they should be allowed to cut their dicks off.

The Guardian? How the fuck are you based anything? Doing your part to trash the institution of marriage I see

Loving someone has absolutely nothing to do with feelings for one another. It's what you do for them that shows your care for eachother. My wife and I have absolutely nothing in common. But we live eachother in spite of that

Understandable in some circumstances, but my mother survived years of mental and emotional, thankfully none physical, abuse and continued to love my father, my brother and I endured through it too, she continued to pray and have faith that God would change him. He did. He is now a born again Christian and sober for 26 years. It was a long road but the bible proved true in that for the sake of the salvation of the wife, the husband would be saved, and so for the reverse. But not all people are receptive to it. But abandonment of the vows, in my mind, and a biblical view, is seldom the best option. No judgement, just conversing.

Don't let politics ruin your personal relationships. It's not worth it

2
tepson [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I wish it were that easy. Up to this point I haven’t pushed any topic, live and let live. But now my parents still haven’t met my 6 month old son

1
RolandDelacroix 1 point ago +1 / -0

Until you have kids and get divorce raped because she disagrees with the moral base you are trying to instil in the kids.

WhatUCan 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lol I never brought it up, but my dem friends always had to, and when I would defend marriage or Trump they'd lose their minds.

Fast forward to biden "winning" not only have they stopped bringing up politics to me, they won't even talk to me at all. Again I tried to do what you just said. They can't help themselves
