I used to be VERY against living off of the system if it isn't absolute need.

Like, if you can work 60+ hours at McDonald's, I'd do that before going on the system.

Well, being in NYS, I had a change of heart. I hate where I live. I have no moral issue in n my head anymore to use the system lawfully to help myself out in life.

I don't lie to them at all. Work was very slow for me during corona stuff. But years ago, I would've found a way to do it alone, as that's what a MAN does!

I lost all respect for my state, and figure if they are gonna hand shit out, I might as well take it.

The problem is that your blue state doesn't have the money to pay you, despite offering it. They give you money and then cry to the federal government that they are bankrupt and red states end up subsidizing you through bailouts.

Yup. It's all a load of BS. As Ron Desantis said, bail outs should be fair, and based solely on population in this case.

Blue states did stupid shit, red states not so much, and because the blue states allowed billions in damage and economic failure, they get the most help? Bullshit!

Nothing wrong with using the system appropriately. My father works seasonally and is on unemployment in the off-season. I used it once I got out of the military while I went to school. While I don't agree with the way we do societal safety net, if it's there and you really need the help it doesn't make you bad.
