Corporate media and academia are the two biggest driving forces behind the social revolution we're currently going through, followed closely by corporate America, who hold no allegiance to anyone or anything but their bottom line, and support whoever they think holds the power.
This is true. But when one owns the media..... their truth is what sells. I liked the zero hedge article about how the great rest isn’t going exactly as planned, and what the differing outcomes could be.
I don't disagree with you. To clarify I don't mean revolution in the traditional sense, but this method of balkanization within the U.S. pitting race and ideologies against one another as enemies, rather than healthy and rational discourse.
The narrative of the incorporation of the US in 1871 may be being misinterpreted by some influencers. It is plausible, but my go-to expert on all matters Constitutional says this theory has a few flaws.
I'm going to have a longer discussion with Douglas V Gibbs about this and will make a post trying to explain his argument. He's gone over this with me once, but I don't have the argument down well enough yet to elaborate.
I'll "circle back", but let's not start believing that the real Capital is in Florida quite yet.
Oh believe me I understand the powers behind the curtain are the ones pulling the strings, I'm simply speaking in the context of this post about the media being the enemy of the people. If we had better standards for maintaining honesty and integrity, our institutions would be much more difficult to influence and corrupt.
It starts in school, indoctrinating kids with revisionist history and activist lesson plans, followed by media brainwashing once they're old enough to comprehend life beyond their personal bubble. Whatever gaps are left are filled in by social acceptance of these issues on a corporate level ie. sports teams, clothing brands, banks, soft drinks, etc.
Peer pressure is high when growing up to fit in and be accepted, combined with a lack of worldly experience and critical thinking skills, and you have an entire generation of kids conditioned to think and act a specific way. A generation of angry, underperforming kids raised on instant gratification culture, with no understanding of responsibility or consequences for bad decision making.
I wish I had the answers for how to fix things, other than getting involved at the local level and taking back the schools, school boards, etc. and namely the minds of our youth. People forget how much financial power the youth of this country wield, which is why so many powers-that-be are fighting for control of them.
I'd add that Big Tech AI deliberately drives people into echo chambers where they only hear one truth and that causes even more division as the free marketplace of ideas is nonexistent for many.
As for answers to how to fix things; we've got to take care of the imminent threat first, and then unwind the institutions.

Thank you, and I totally agree. The power the big tech/legacy media cabal wields is obscene, and beyond what anyone could possibly consider reasonable. They need to be broken up and brought under control, if not destroyed outright.
The question is what will the government do about it? Most of the media and Silicon Valley have been completely co-opted by our intelligence agencies and weaponized against the American people. I doubt they'd be able to operate in the modern world otherwise, and would no doubt move Heaven and Earth against anyone who dared to suggest moving forward with anti-monopolistic laws on any serious level.

There was no revolution. It's just a small minority with all the power. Trump won in a landslide. They stole it in the dead of night.

The US turned into a corporatocracy in 1871, that’s when the republic started its decline

Great comment, and very accurate.

And their poison has spread throughout American corporations so that it truly is the Elites vs all of us.
