God bless! I'm so happy for you and your sister!

I pray my brother has a change of heart someday soon as well...

I haven't got to hug my 3yo nephew or hold my newborn nephew because my sister's a whackjob who is brainwashed by media and covid fear. Either that or it's an excuse to not see me because my politics.

What's worse is my mom blames me. I'm like you need to check your daughter. Everytime she's been in town she never once called me. When I was on vacation at the beach for almost a week last summer (6miles from her house) I invited them to hang out in our nice beach front suite we rented. Never even texted or called me back. Oh well I got my own baby to focus on now I don't really think about her much anymore. It feels like she died last year or something but without the grieving

These times are tough on family. Similar stories abound. Sorry for yours.

I broke up with my family 20 years ago. Too much I could handle. Once you pass that hurdle, it is not a big deal. You will realize it is not blood to bring us together. It is mutual caring and views towards life.

Keep trying. You'll regret it if you don't.

She knows my hand is still out and I haven't ever turned her away or not answered a message or call. Balls kind of in her court.

We have a similar situation with my wife's gay uncle in NYC. He disowned the family about 3 years ago because #TDS.

So sorry to hear this. I have a feeling she will be losing more than you.
