$1.9 trillion on the line, and the very heart of the nation at stake, and he couldn't be bothered to hang around for 12 hours to vote against the blasphemous theft of our childrens futures.

Many Americans haven't even been allowed to go to funerals for the past year, this guy gets to fly across the continent to attend one while skipping out on work. Not forcing Kamala to break the tie is a huge deal, especially on something this big.

I personally believe they were looking to get any republican to be absent so that all the rest could vote no with zero consequences. If Sullivan had done his job it would have forced KamelToe to come out of hiding and break the tie, placing the results of this disasterous theft of our future right at her feet.

Does anyone think waiting 12 hours to return home after the vote would have been much to ask of a senator when this much was on the line?

His absence didn't matter. If he would have been there, the vote would have been 50-50 and Cumala would have been the tiebreaker.

That was the point though, to force KamelToe to come out of hiding and cast that vote. It would have made the bill purely partisan and made her personally responsible for allowing it to pass.
