to sum it up, Alabama passed a law that basically made it illegal to remove confederate monuments. A new bill was proposed that would allow counties and cities to circumvent this law and it was quickly shot down.

This is like communist tactics 101, glad they stopped it. They want to erase our entire history so they can continually rewrite it
