I join with you in your apologies. My ancestors left England because they didn't want to spend their lives in the coal mines. They walked along the Oregon Trail, hoping to eventually own their own land. They broke the sod, grew their own food plus a little extra to sell. They trained their own horses to pull a plow, and they nursed a small herd of milk cows and stears.

Not one ever asked for charity. My own mother used to say: "Use it up, make it do. Wear it out, or go without." Our ancestors built this fucking country and I'll be damned if I am going to let some asshole cheaters take it away.

It's not privilege. The privilege is the culture we live by. We don't glorify rape, we don't glorify violence, and we don't glorify drugs. Those three things are prevalent in every black "culture" song.
