Was talking to a guy who went to school in London for two years. Asked him about cultural differences.

He told me about a time he thought he was being pranked. At a grocery store stocking up for his new flat, dishes and glasses and everything he needed. They pulled him out of line to interrogate him about the set of steak knives he was buying... They asked him why he needed them and they got pissed because he looked confused and kept laughing in their faces.
