Nobody wants a damn fool who confuses stranger anxiety with racism in tiny babies. Such people probably have other bad ideas, too.

Edit: Seriously, I watched one of my kids come unglued when Grandpa walked into the house wearing a cowboy hat. He took the hat off, and the kid immediately settled down. A lot of little bitty kids go through a period of stranger anxiety. Anybody malevolent enough to stir accusations of racism into this common childhood phenomenon is unfit to be allowed near children.
