Barely remembers? He doesn't remember at all. He doesn't understand what he's reading or signing, he doesn't know which way to walk when he leaves the podium, he doesn't know what he's doing when he's making speeches. Both of my in-laws have severe dementia, and we have watched them deteriorate for over a decade. He is in the middle stages of dementia, and it deteriorates rapidly at this point. Would you give him car keys right now, ask him to drive across DC, and pick up some items for you at the grocery store? He couldn't do that. If he couldn't do that, what the hell is he doing leading the most powerful country in the world? (Assuming it's not already China.)
