Now this isn't much of a surprise as anyone who has seen Valve/Steam the past few years probably suspected they're like most other big name companies, cucked to china and deep state politics. I don't know how many people use steam here or would care, but I have noticed the past year that steam has been cracking down, must like any other forum or place where you once thought you could speak without facing the internet KGB.
I have been banned several times from my steam account, for over 3 months each time, for slight mention of anything the left wants to censor.
A chinese user on the forums who was trash talking the USA and the west in general, and saying China was number one, has cured the virus, and the virus comes from the USA. I dispute it, saying that the virus came from China, and faced a 3 months ban from some cuck loser working at valve's customer support. Many others were banned for even remotely disagreeing with the chinese users. Pages and pages of banned users and only the chinese users remain unscathed, despite breaking valve's rules.
Of course the left and China are never held accountable and rules don't apply to them, and are bent to oppress us.
Today I was seeing a lot of anti-trump posts. I checked one with a lot of activity talking about the election (almost all of it being anti-trump) and I said that the left has pushed the russia hoax for 4 years and has the balls to call us conspiracy theorists when we have video evidence of election fraud. Within the day every non-cuck was perma banned, all non-cuck posts were deleted, and this was again done by valve customer support.
It's clear in the past few years if not longer, they have been sucking up to China and appealing to their cancerous population and government more and more, at the expense of the rest of the world. The gaming industry is pretty much hot garbage especially when it comes to any large companies, all of them have sold their souls, so I say, don't feel bad about pirating games or movies or any other piece of media. Fuck them all.

The shilling for Steam I keep seeing isn't organic. It's cool when they have free games, but most of the time, I see the posts going "I LOVE STEAM".
Steam hasn't been good in maybe almost a decade. They use to get a lot of fan love because it was a good platform with lots of games in one place, notoriously good steam sales, and valve was responsible for a lot of beloved games.
Yet over the years they've just grown fat and greedy, they've become rotten to the core. I think most people who say steam is great just remember the good old days and don't notice how far they've fallen.
But there's also the problem that all the alternatives are inferior if not garbage. We almost had a chance at a competitor in Epic Games Store, but those losers went crazy with scumbag tier greed after they got a bunch of easy fortnite money. They are China puppets and they can go fuck themselves.
valve takes 30% from game devs too.
If you want better games, buy directly from devs or use a platform that gives Devs a bigger cut, dont use Steam.

I don't honestly know, but I suspect so-so if not leaning towards bad. CDProjekt Red is a Polish company and they seemed based up until Cyberpunk gained a lot of attention and social media started influencing their company's behavior. Firing people for saying things that pissed off overly sensitive tranny psychos, bending the knee to leftist social media opinions, and warming up to China. Maybe someone better in the know can comment otherwise.

Gamers aren't know for high IQ levels or spines. They will rant and rave about a company and how evil they are for adding 3 dollar pink dildo microtransactions, but then buy whatever next game comes out by that very company anyways. It's why everything just gets progressively worse and worse.

I don't buy many games, and I refuse to buy from most companies at this point. Never pre-order, never buy into stupid flashy marketing.
