Former YT’r here and my kids watched peppa pig and octonaughts, decent mindless stuff on my premium account on car rides (required for downloading vids) kids fought over watch to watch so we got another iPad and had to make them their own YouTube kids account... it’s over. I deleted it, canceled. I believe it’s worth looking into to see if they can figure out if a young white male is watching and feed them nothing but make up and dress videos. Alphabet does this shit in their google results, why wouldn’t they fuck with our children? I’d like to compare a black child’s algorithm to a white child’s... if anyone has the time and a good group of friends with kids to see what is being force fed I think the safety of our children depends upon it. Keep your kids away from YouTube. Please list downloadable videos that are quality programming. We spent an hour tonight searching after we saw what YT kids was feeding our sons. Never again.

Once I let my kid watch YouTube while i brushed her teeth (She was like 2 and freaked out when I did it) I had it on peppa pig and then it went on another video of something "similar" which was a very strange crying video with some toilets' and kid characters. Basically they were doing learned helplessness and it seriously look like some sort of pedogate stuff, I think they called it elsagate? Anyway, I never let them watch YouTube on tablets or phones, they do get to use it on TV because I can set up special list and cast from my PC for read aloud books. If I could find read aloud books elsewhere, i'd never use it. But yeah, they only monitor right-wing videos or election fraud lol

I think that's more on the parent companies than youtube(Disney, Nickelodeon etc.). Youtube is awful but they are just rehosting what those parent companies upload.
Shame you're not on android, idk if apple has it, but NewPipe is free and allows ya to download videos and play stuff in the background. Can't get it in the playstore, but the APK is available online. Really neat app, just felt like plugging it.

Seriously though. Download it to your pc/laptop then export it to your phone/tablet whatever you have. Then you can watch something as many times as you like without giving youtube the traffic. That's what I do at least when I have something I know I'll watch multiple times.
