He also had students kill their teachers, killed of prominent Chinese historians and academics, burned and destroyed cultural artifacts and historical sites. Go to Japan and look for an ancient Shinto shrine. They are everywhere. Go to China and look for an ancient anything. It's all gone, except for a few sites. Anything written after the "Maoist" tag can be assumed to be garbage and not worth reading.
