Its funny that they make an effort to appear tolerant of others by keeping up with all the trends and lingo but it comes off horribly. They would be more liked if they'd just shut up and worry about themselves.

At best its a well meaning superiority complex.

They think they have some kind of moral standing above others who just want to be left alone and leave others alone.
