I was thinking of putting the title into the post, but I don't want to out myself as that guy who put an episode of King of the Hill that was on broadcast TV up against the same episode, only in its original, full form, and noticed exactly where they were shaving time to fit in more commercials.

I mean, it was pretty obvious where, to anyone who's seen it before, since they tended to cut the punchlines of the jokes. You know the ones, where you think that Hank is making a joke, but he's not, he's just the world's perfect straight man.

"So I said to him, with a straight face, 'Hey, maybe you want to put a little lacquer in that varnish.' Heh heh, well, long story short, he did." And they cut the "Long story short, he did." THAT'S the joke. That we think we're hearing the end of Hank ribbing a guy about something, but we're actually just hearing him tell the story of how he gave a man good advice.

Man, I love that show.
