I’m retired military who was retired early due to injuries sustained in combat. Sure, I respect the idea of a military willing to defend us against foreign threats, but let’s be real, I sacrificed my ideal life and a stable family for a bullshit war. My wife sacrificed her “leave it to beaver” dream, and my friend gave his live for a bullshit war.
On top of that, there are a lot of crazed liberals in leadership who are there to support the deep state.
It saddens me to say that, as a person who has been forced to take a lot of hard to swallow pills over the years, I no longer give blanket respect to military. LEOs are close behind in losing my blanket respect for them.
Blanket respect is folly every time. Our military has been obscenely misused for decades. Our fathers, sons, brothers, mothers, daughters, and sisters deserve better. As for the police, those pensions have spoiled a lot of good apples.
That's one of the reasons I respect our troops so much, I know I couldn't handle what they do every day. I wouldn't make it through basic training, much less serious battle-conditions. That is a level of training and physical/mental strength that to me is extremely impressive and way beyond my capabilities. <3 <3 <3
It annoys me that people still repeat 2000's leftist propaganda. The oil was auctioned, and it didn't go to us. And Afghanistan would be a horrible place for a "pipeline". Christ, we SHOULD have taken the oil -- pay off our debts with it!
