No, Kev, that's not what they mean. Kissinger's praise here is spot on. But his track record of advice has lead to China's rise and, like all pre-Trump administrations, total quagmire in the Middle-East. They're just pointing out that his praise is ironic.

The OP was not meant to be a praise of Kissinger. I understand he's done some shitty things, but he's also done a great deal of good for world peace.
I thought he made a great point, and I refuse to cow-tow to the cancel-culture mindset that is growing here.
There's way to much killing the messenger without paying attention to the message.
That's not healthy for rational discourse, and just like my encounters with real lefties on Twitter, their resorting to immediate name-calling and chest thumping is bothersome.

I'm old enough to remember Nixon's trip to China, and I consider myself pretty well informed.
Pick an actual, individual policy or action, and I'd be happy to have a discussion.
I actually agreed with Ilhan Omar a couple weeks ago when she harshly criticized Biden for bombing Syria.
Having an open mind and focusing on policy instead of individuals will set you free to actually learn something.
Individuals make policy. Individuals have agendas. Omar and AOC do things like this purely for optics. They will say anything for likes and retweets. Completely irrelevant.
You don’t sell out your country and destroy its future on purpose and then suddenly become a patriot. Kissinger and people like him are literally evil, they have no morals, no principles, they hate you and America. They will enable China to take over the entire world and laugh about how stupid people were to not even notice.
“Fuck Trump! Go Biden!” Is not exactly the best attitude to learn anything. There is a lot to this which is why I was suggesting you look into it yourself.
