You can go to menu>settings>exceptions add authentication.win/* and patriots.win/* and any others you want to visit.

Fuck them delete it. install free Bitdefender. Best one out there anyway. https://www.bitdefender.com/solutions/free.html

I use private internet access vpn. Adding the exception in avast did the trick. Thanks to u/Clover8467

How is our data secure using VPNs if the sites can still be blocked.

I do not. I'm not a tech guy but I assume it's just the anti virus software blocking the url on my end of the network before it can even send out to the web (where my ip and info is protected by the vpn.)
