Showers is hardly appropriate for people who are now in serious debt. In the last stimulus bill The House awarded themselves $75,000.00 more a year. For expenses. The speaker got a lot more. Now that is showers to my way of thinking.
It's not cutting poverty. In order for you to get it you have to file an income tax return. They want you to add it to your gross income from last year so they can tax it again. How many homeless people do you know who file income taxes? Also filing a tax return document tells them where you are. Most people who are going to get this check won't need it because they are essential workers who haven't stopped working the whole time. The people who really need it are being cut out.
