Detonating one in the upper atmosphere over the US is probably more effective than hitting a city these days anyway. Given our complete and utter dependence on electronics, the EMP damage would kill far more in the long run. Check out the EMP Commission report. A few well placed EMPs could put is back in the dark ages and kill of 90% of the population in a year.

Nah, Democrats aren't going to bomb Iran. They love Iran because they both despise America. They'll just hand Iran another $150 billion in exchange for empty promises like that traitor Obama did. Eventually once Iran has all the technology for a full nuclear weapons program (stockpiles of weapons grade fissile material, miniaturized working nuke design that will fit on an ICBM, ICBM, guidance system) then they'll finally cross the Rubicon and declare themselves a nuclear power. The reason they haven't for so many years is that they can't go piecemeal like N Korea did. They need the whole enchilada to be a deterrent or they know they will get bombed.
