And replace it with...?

This is the thing people that go "uninstall this thing!" or "stop using this thing!" need to start doing. Give a suggestion of what to replace it with.

And no, "LINUX" isn't a "replacement." Putting a whole new OS in just because an anti-virus program isn't great is not viable. Suggest an anti-virus program, not an entirely new OS.

LINUX

As I told the last person that tried that, that's not an option. The programs I have to use for work are not compatible with it.

"Linux" isn't the magical cure all for everything computer related when not everything is designed to run on it.

WINPATROL. If they can't F with the Registry, they can't do much to you. It's a helluva powerful tool, been using it over a decade now.

You can also get a WIN machine that is used for nothing but work, which is what I do (most of the time).

I use a few different Linux distros.......... But, let's be honest, everything in Linux takes two hours.

Windows Defender (free) + Malwarebytes. Been using for several years with no issues.

Thank you for actual programs instead of yet another "just use another OS, lol" comment. I'll check on Malwarebytes since that's one that I haven't yet looked in to.
