Yeah, when this came out, I bought a few hundred shares of Cooper Tire, and had two cars that needed new rubber so they got Cooper Tires.
Recently, $GT bough $CTB. So CTB share price shot up substantially - I'm up over 40% atm - but once the deal goes through, I'll get $48.75 per share of $CTB and end up with 0.902 GT shares per CTB share.
The downside is that because I've only owned the stock since August, I can't really cash out now without some capital gains issues, but I'm going to probably lose a bit of value plus be holding shares in Goodyear that I don't even want because fuck Goodyear.
