The more likely scenario is she never truly understands she wants an actual man because she refuses to act feminine enough such that men would ever want anything to do with her nor does she ever embrace her natural desire for a man because she fears losing her independence and power in relation to men. If she does happen to fuck an actual man, it's only because he's using her for sex because her personality makes her entirely unsuitable as wife-material, so she learns to hate men. Then she diverges along two paths. She either finds some beta soyboy to marry but never truly being happy or satisfied with him but at least manages to exploit him for some sort of gain or she become single bitter and alone.
