Just because i hold a differing opinion doesnt mean i have the right to harass the business. I have every right to walk away and find another mexican restaurant in texas to dine at. Or go home and make your own damn food. We are so hyper partisan in this country that we are willing to destroy anybody's life if we disagree with them. That is exactly what the left does. We can not defeat authoritarians by becoming authoritarians ourselves. Property rights exist for a reason and these restaurant owners are well within their rights to create a mask policy. However they better remember that we live in a market economy and if the great people of Texas decide they dont like wearing a mask in their restaurant then the market will act accordingly. You wont change these peoples mind by forcing them to obey you. Hit them in their wallet and they will be left with two choices.
So, if a fancy restaurant requires a tie and jacket we should just call ICE on them too? What about a tour of mine or a cave that requires hard hats? Life jackets where the business is something on the water?
I agree the masks are stupid and do nothing, but businesses do have property rights and those rights are very much an American ideal. I would hate for someone to come to my business and violate my property rights. Your rights end where someone else's begin and they have the right on their private property not to serve you.
