When I've been asked to wear a mask in a store, I claim my sincerely held religious belief does not allow a man to cover his face like a woman. That seem to short circuit the NPCs pretty well.
I'm female and my first instinct is pure rage at being told to cover my face in shame like a Muslim woman with little to no rights. The left mocks the right because of the comparison, but it's a very real one to me. I can't really use it though because it's "Islamophobia."

I was a Democrat for most of my life until 2018 (30 years old). It's mentally exhausting even pretending to follow their crap just to find holes in their reasoning. It poisoned my life so much I just feel physically drained when I think about their thought processes and stances now. Even this new meme of "Super Straight" just makes my bones hurt.

Why not identify as a man when necessary? Make them play by their own rules, etc.
