I live in NY. I legit only know 2 conservatives who are my 2 out of 4 best friends. That's all. My other friends are lefties, my customers are, and so my coworkers and boss. These ppl mock conservatives and their views, most without knowing i am one.. I noticed they have no goddamn idea what I believe in. They don't actually know what I stand for, save for what the news tells them.
Something else I realized; these ppl believe so deeply in their views and how virtuous they are. They so fully believe that they're right, and that their ideas are inherently righteous. If you disagree you must be wrong. Some ppl if u disagree just turn to violence.
I guess the point is, all this leftist influence makes me have to ground myself in reality. It makes me think if all these ppl believe this how can they be right? There's no one on my side, no one thinks the way I do. It makes me a bit sad to see it. I have to remember to ground in reality, and remember what i know to be true: That there are millions of ppl in this country, amd even all over the world who stand with me.

There are two basic ways of looking at the world:
Collectivism - which means government control over the masses and Individualism - which says their are universal human rights and that governments role is to protect those rights, and as such it should be limited and accountable.

I wish we had a way to know the good towns -- they don't get talked about anywhere and it is hard to pick up and move somewhere without knowing where to go. We are wanting to move out of a suburb and into a small town in our state or a neighboring state, but I've really struggled to even know where to start looking because even with research and even visiting places, you don't really know what it is like to LIVE there.
That said, I don't blame people for not sharing about their amazing little towns, otherwise they won't be little or amazing for long :/

Jersey too, I have friends south and coastal, but we’re here... I fear some have gone back to sleep, others have taken a step back to just observe the crazies, my neighbor down the block took his flag down after the odd inauguration, I have desperately wanted to knock on his door or drop a note sayings, we’re still here!!! Sadly, you do have to do this. Especially at work. I work for a tech school and when I worked on the academic side I was outnumbered by libs. Anyone who expressed any conservative opinions was ridiculed and mocked in my department. I tried to just keep my opinions to myself. I've since moved to IT work where I was surprised to find most of the conservatives were. It's great to be out of that environment, but we all still have to mostly keep our opinions to ourselves.
