I live in NY. I legit only know 2 conservatives who are my 2 out of 4 best friends. That's all. My other friends are lefties, my customers are, and so my coworkers and boss. These ppl mock conservatives and their views, most without knowing i am one.. I noticed they have no goddamn idea what I believe in. They don't actually know what I stand for, save for what the news tells them.
Something else I realized; these ppl believe so deeply in their views and how virtuous they are. They so fully believe that they're right, and that their ideas are inherently righteous. If you disagree you must be wrong. Some ppl if u disagree just turn to violence.
I guess the point is, all this leftist influence makes me have to ground myself in reality. It makes me think if all these ppl believe this how can they be right? There's no one on my side, no one thinks the way I do. It makes me a bit sad to see it. I have to remember to ground in reality, and remember what i know to be true: That there are millions of ppl in this country, amd even all over the world who stand with me.
You're not alone, fren. It just feels that way. That's how they want you to feel.
Critical theory requires them to attack every foundation of what you know is true. You have to feel alone and like nothing is worth it. They need to demoralize you until you give up.
I lived in brooklyn up until a couple years ago. I had to get out when I started seeing "kill the white women" written on the subway platform. My wife and kids are white as well and I couldn't stomach them being home in that neighborhood while I was off at work.
Nj isn't that much better. I still work in brooklyn. My boss, all of the department heads, most of our clients. They are all either active post-modernists or useful idiots.
When my wife feels demoralized, I pull out the county election map. Despite historic cheating, there are millions of pedes all over the country, even within your city/state who agree with you. Staten island is surprisingly based.
Telling you not to get down probably won't work. Please remember you are not alone. When you feel that way, that's exactly what they want.
When I get down about feeling like most developers and tech are insane lefty, I'm comforted by the fact that a huge amount of the crypto community are based AF. Crypto and defi are blowing up. That's my next move personally. The winklevoss twins have a few nyc based startups that look good.
