Amen. If a person is incapable of respecting an aspect of a human being (whether they obtain that aspect themselves or otherwise) and feel that there needs to be a day or even a whole month dedicated to not celebrating but FLAUNTING it, then chances are they see themselves as victims.
I’m a woman. I don’t need today to celebrate that I’m a woman. I don’t need my boyfriend to do whatever it is these other [super straight] women may demand of their men so they can feel more comfortable. I am honored everyday by those around me because of my daily efforts, just how I am sure my fellow lady pedes are as well. This is what the motivation and focus should be shifted towards, rather than half-assed liberal passive-aggression 364 days a year followed by one day of demanded celebration.
Yesterday my wife (I only helped) made 20 servings of chili, a full turkey, chocolate pudding pie, five loads of laundry, paid all the bills, reconciled the Amex statement, attended to her 97 yr mother's needs, planned both St. Patrick's Day and Easter celebrations with our grandchildren, shopped for the week and prepared a Board of Directors presentation. Up at 6 am today and will work all day as a senior financial officer for a major international bank.
When she hires and promotes people she cares little as to which sex they are and it shocks the HR department as they are so focused on political correctness. She gets more done in an hour than most do in a week. It has nothing to do with her gender but her upbringing.
I have noticed over a few decades that movies depict brilliant children that save the day and stupid parents learning lessons from them. It is a planned lie. "Children are not our future", Parents are. We raise people to be parents. If not, they stay children, and able to be manipulated.
