Read up on what conservatism means and then circle back when you're all read up.
Preservation of a family unit is but one aspect of conservatism, and we can agree to work to uphold that principle while dealing with our own shit. But if you think that after what the Supreme Court did, conservatives can afford to pick and choose allies who otherwise are fully onboard, you're out of your league and are asking to have your values rekt and never again upheld in this country.
Deal with that shit later. This is the time to call it, all aboard.
Then toss freedom of association enshrined in the Constitution right out of the window.
Just because some people don't have the traditional family themselves doesn't mean they are trying to undermine the institution and doesn't mean they can't work to assist in preserving the right to maintain it.
A mother and father in the home is the most ideal situation, but as long as there are kids who can't get that, there is going to be a need for two parent households that are safe, and many of those households are conservative and value raising children who will be able to recognize the need for traditional two parent households.
The truth is, right now isn't the time to play petty games and turn people away who have the same fundamental beliefs and principles.
But it seems like you're willing to let that slip away.
Sure, bud.
