Most of that 84% probably also advocates for policies to "support women" as well. They really really want paid maternity leave for a year, and subsidized child care, and government health care, so that "a woman can choose to work" and it never occurs to them that all those policies cost a lot of money. If we have all their socialist utopia policies, it's going to require at least half of everyone's salaries, and they'll no longer have the option to be a stay at home mom, they have to keep working to afford all their subsidies.

Seriously? That makes me feel better. I like being a SAHM but my husband wants me back to work soon. Trying to stay as part time as possible. I have a lot of kids.

I don't know if this will apply in your case, but often once you calculate for things like daycare, meals out/prepared food, work wardrobe, taxes, etc., the mom's salary is almost entirely gone. Does the savings in taxes, childcare, home cooked meals, or whatever compensate for you not working?

Exactly why I’m not working, it makes more sense to stay at home. I’m considering doing a part time online job opposite from my husband’s schedule. Just a couple hours a day. Even that means I get less sleep so I’m putting it off lol
