I'd say that when you get right down to it, historically speaking the biggest difference between the two is that one was on the losing side of WWII and didn't have a chance to wreck havok for decades, while the other was on the winning side of WWII and thus wasn't beaten down before it had a chance to spread its death and misery across the world for decades.
The way I see it, outwardly communists want to spread their ideology and the absorb countries while fascists want to annex countries and expand their empire. Inwardly, I think of communists nationalizing or outright destroying companies while fascists install party members on the board of directors.

I am somewhat rabid over the whole situation. Every day something else is taken away. Fort Lee looks like it will be ground zero for an immigrant infusion and that is in my backyard. I was talking to someone yesterday and they said we were headed for another civil war. I disagreed. I think we are headed for a revolution.
There won't be any revolution happening anytime soon. Modern day life is simply too comfortable. We have Amazon, Netflix, internet, American Idol, Dancing With The Stars, Monday Night Football, an over abundance of food, etc.
Americans are too fat, too lazy, and too passive.
The only time people will be willing to risk their life for freedom is AFTER we lose all of our comforts and all of our freedom. But by that time, its going to be much, much harder since they'll have consolidated all power, banned all weapons from private citizens, have us under complete and total surveillance, etc
Sadly I agree with part of your post. My other half (married 24 years today) thinks that our lives will largely go unchanged and therefore nothing is amiss. I am somewhat rabid over the whole situation. Every day something else is taken away. Fort Lee looks like it will be ground zero for an immigrant infusion and that is in my backyard. Meanwhile, television gets more and more vapid, the local news is a joke, and our representatives are busily running around performing heroic feats of feel good soundbites. I look around and see the same dull look in people's eyes that I see in Biden's. They won't be the ones who go all 1776 on the govt.
People are always going to care about daily comforts and life over freedoms, because to many, they aren't feeling much of the direct affects yet.
Its human nature....as long as we have all of the comforts, a house, a family, a job, and all the material objects and food we can obtain....we are content. Liberty and rights take a back seat until the comforts get removed too.
This has happened over many generations, and we aren't the same kind of men that our Founders were. Good times creates weak men, hard times creates strong men.
This is why so many tyrannical regimes easily take hold throughout history. For example, Venezuela was once a very nice country and look at what happened and where it is today.
We'll bitch and moan on the internet over some of the stuff happening, but that's about it for now.

I'm fairly certain Trump's presidency was a 4 year plan from the enemy to psyops us into complacency. Make us think:
A. There's a chance to take power back. The outsider got in. B. His time in office laid traps for the enemy and that there may be people or plans in place still helping us behind the scenes (Q Complacency Psyops, Pompeo tweets, etc) C. We do not need to rise up against anything or anyone in power due to Trump getting in and all his planning.
Reality: They let Trump in, stonewalled him for 4 years not letting him get shit done, and Q/Trump Psyopsed those who would rise up against the tyranny to force complacency. Trust some plan that never existed over your own instincts, whatever plan that was (Trump and SCOTUS, Military, Q, whatever plan you believed in). They needed Trump in there for four years, doing minimal damage because no one would cooperate with him, so We The People would be complacent when they kicked him out and took full control because we think we still have a champ in our corner.

They let him win in 2016 to pacify the silent majority. Wouldn't be surprised if he was in on it with his historical ties to rich NYC Democrats and the Clintons. "Okay now walk off into the sunset. Idk man. Thought Trump would put up more of a fight. Seems like he's just going to roll over, accept SCOTUS snubbing him, and "try again in 2024." If that's the case, he was 100% in on it with the Uniparty to establish and endless oligarchy banana republic disguised as a democracy.
I would say its more likely they underestimated the American people (these people are severely out of touch) and were taken by surprise in 2016. Before Trump, people were getting fed up about the corruption and our leaders caring more about themselves and other countries over America. Trump was the only one who actually spoke out and said what people wanted to hear without backing down to media pressure.
They were laughing at Trump, calling him a clown, and even encouraging us to nominate him because he would be the easiest for Hillary to beat. I just wouldn't foresee the amount of hate, fake investigations, billions of dollars spent to remove him, and ultimately performing a blatant coup being part of their plan if Trump was on their side.
However, it was disappointing how Trump seemingly changed after the 6th. He stopped talking about the steal and started acting like your typical politician....wishing Biden good luck and success, calling for healing and unity, then ducking out and telling us to have a nice life. That was odd. But it could have just been Trump terrified of being impeached, hurting his legacy, and losing all his lifelong post-Presidency benefits such as Secret Service protection. So he fell in line.
Before Trump, they were going the slow boil a frog strategy. Slowly take away freedoms and destroy America before its too late so many people won't realize what is happening until its too late. That was the Uniparty goal. The Romney's/McStains/Bush's were all involved in this. Give the appearance of opposition and only focus on small social issues to keep the peasants distracted. Its why the GOP was trying to force feed us Jeb vs. Hillary.
I thought Trump would put up more of a fight too, but ultimately Trump is just too much of a pacifist and a nice guy. When things got heated, he didn't have the guts to do what needed to be done to save freedom and America. He could have deputized people and called on the military via the Insurrection Act, citing a conspiracy to infringe on our right to vote. It would all be warranted and was entirely Constitutional. But he never crossed the Rubicon. He had 80 million people who would have his back.
He also made many fatal mistakes such as getting suckered into firing Flynn, surrounding himself with people like Sessions and Barr, and trusting McConnell's court picks who all ended up stabbing him in the back.
He seemingly knew they were going to try and steal the election through mail-in ballots 7 months in advance, yet he did nothing to prepare for it.
Trump is not perfect and he's not a genius like many here seem to think he is. He was never a planner or 4D chess player. Just a guy who seemed fed up like us, who cared about America, and appeared at the right time. But he was reactionary and never planned (he even says this in his book).
But I don't think letting Trump win was part of their plan. The QAnon stuff was definitely part of a psyops though, created shortly after Trump got in and around the Russiagate stuff, as an effort to placate conservatives to mitigate damage. They knew if we actually organized during Trump's Presidency that we could have accomplished much, much more.
The bright side, he woke many people up and forced our enemy to abandon the slow boil strategy and reveal themselves as the tyrants they really are. But that doesn't mean much if We The People don't all stand up together and do something about it.
Yeah this is most likely the case. I just think his post election behavior is too tame and weird to be considered genuine. This all seems like a show to me. A movie. A really bad one. I'm worried about the ending should the people watching not realize it and rise up.
