N95s are not the same as a “dust mask”

^ This. The proper argument to make is that N95s probably do work fairly well to stop the virus, but if that’s true, why don’t you wear one so I don’t have to? Of course, they’ll probably come up with some BS reason why both parties need to.

They boldly lie to us. Apathetic, no critical thinking Sheeple, blindly comply and follow.

The N95 being pushed isn't even a N95. I looked it up at the beginning of the pandemic when the supply for hospitals was running out. It's just another "paper" mask that doesn't catch the Coronavirus. It is just another layer of fine motor obedience.

The N95 will stop most viruses If it is used properly and only once. We don't need to bend truths on this point. The science and all the data are on our side.

No truth bending here. I did look it up at the beginning of the pandemic. I am a lazy prepper and already had several different kinds of masks, but not that one. All of the ones I had, I had pre covid and they all already had a warning on them that it would not prevent virus transmission. While I do agree it traps moisture like sneezes, that fat fingered freak fauci and his minions has spent the last year pulling this narrative hither and yon from "flatten the curve and stop the spread" to "don't put to much on herd immunity" so you'll excuse me if I'm a little irate and fed up with the mask bullshit. Think what you want, Fauci is a lying wanker and I'm not doing it anymore just for that reason alone.

Again, i am getting sick and fucking tired of having to repeat this, but;

It is to prevent you from spreading my limiting the projection range of your spittle and bodily fluids ejected while sneezing. This can actually be blocked by almost any cloth, though ideally you want to have something that would block a spray of deodorant if fired through it. Anything past this is overkill. Due to how your breathing works, unless you are literally on top of someone, you can't actually breathe in covid vectors under normal conditions because your own breath disperses them unless they reach a certain saturation level(hence the entire "only indoors with good air circulation). This is the central difference; if you are going into an enclosed area that has had moldy rat shit laying there and building up for a few weeks already, the air-saturation of viral material has reached the point where you won't just blow it away everytime you breathe out; it will simply circulate different ratshit air under your nose to take the fast track to your lungs a few seconds later.

Actual protective masks instead of once that simply prevent fluid sprays from passing out of or into your mouth, actually block certain particles from entering your respiration system, require an active filter. A low end filter with almost the same passthrough rate of air as a cloth mask would stop things like sawdust. A modest filter would be good enough against mold and airborn fiber particles, and you'd need a fairly uncomfortable active charcoal filter or something of that caliber to defend against heavier-than-air gasses. I would not recommend using that for anything but saving your life because you are bound to pass out after using them because all the moisture in your breath will accumulate at one side of the filter.

And to get ahead of the curve, no, you can't get fucking blood acidosis from masks, you buffoon; if you don't have a lung condition you stabilize your carbon levels within like 5 minutes of unrestricted breathing at a worst case scenario of standard breathing (because blood acidosis is literally what you experience if you hold your breath). No, you won't get a fungal or bacterial infection if you take care of your mask because this is caused by the fact that moisture accumulates on the masks (which is, of course, its intended function), and will eventually become a breeding ground for fungal and bacterial agents if not washed regularly; especially an issue in poor communities where this not only isn't common knowledge but it frankly isn't proper to expect because masks have gotten pricy as all hell and not everyone can affort 4-5 masks for every member in their household.

Don't just read wikipedia headers and paper abstracts, actually read them proper (preferably with an education in the overarching academic field so you can contextualize it, academic writing so you actually understand what what means and statistics so you aren't molesting datasets like a sociologist would) lest you end up looking like a walking dunning-kruger effect.

Not really. Don't really use them aside from places where they demand it.

Its just that patriots.win's understanding of how masks works is right the fuck on the left side part of the DK curve. Its honestly one of the few things of this site that eludes me, why the fuck does everyone here have an elementary school grade understanding of how disease vectors work. They are masks. They are stuffy, not very comfortable, abnoxious to wear if you have glasses and your nose piece doesn't seal well enough, but they aren't inefficient for their limited purposes (block bodily fluids send out during speech, coughing or sneezing), they don't give you a fucking lung infection, and assuming you aren't using an active filter, they won't decrease your oxygen intake or give you blood acidosis.

Fear suspends logic, any phobia sufferer can confirm that.
