Wife hit a piece of scrap steel in the street back about a year ago. Hit it, ran up the curb and destroyed the front half shafts, left side wheels, steering rack , tie rod and some suspension. $13k repair. It was ridiculous
Understood, and most times even my own stock height (33") tires wouldn't even touch a curb... but there are parts of town where the curbs are more than tall enough to snag anything shorter than, say, Gravedigger.
Christ on a bike, how did they even do that?
I am suddenly so very glad I do all the driving. I may feel like a glorified chauffeur sometimes, but it definitely beats THAT.

Luckily Insurance. Car was worth 28 used, had another repair for 5k a year later. I’m 18k into a 28k car. Most warranty/ insurance some cash.
It’s unbelievable how fast a car can get mangled from a bad driver.
Spicy.
My wife: "Why do you always park so far out from the curb!?"
Also my wife: "Why won't you ever let me drive the truck?"
I have larger LT tires with big sidewalls in the rare event she drives my truck she can't scuff the rims.

Busted. I can hear my husband downstairs laughing right now.
Lol. All in good fun
