Once you get past the polemical nature of it, his economic and social concerns are valid and are still visible in a lot of populist vs corporatist struggles that get mislabeled as 'Leftism' because of the history of protest and media laziness. Wanting a more equitable economy for your people is not Leftism and it is not racist.
