one could also argue, that persia/islam, chyna, india, ran the world for the better
part of a millennia and that their stagnation was due to their feelings of how to
better respect the power structure. emperor/king et al.

then came along logic/science and suddenly britain/germany/france/italy/greece became
the center of the world, practically overnight.

suddenly a veritable explosion of FACTUAL INFORMATION was coming out

and it had little to do with who or what system was in charge.

then in the last century or so, the US became the power house...

because we cemented food and energy technology. and then later to the chagrin
of the world. information technology...

IF one were to say we are at the will of the illogical...

i would say, if that were the case, there would have been no space travel...
