Paul Harvey was Great but did not run a Radio show with no script for 3 hours a day. I still love Paul Harveys McDonalds Story. But, he was no place near Rush in Greatness and Popularity or skill. Rush had a true Gift.
Paul didn't literally save an industry that was on its last legs and invent a format that has dominated ratings for 3 decades. He did a pre-taped piss break for the local DJ and syndicated it.
That does not take away from how great Harvey was - but as someone who played his stuff while it was new at 50,000 Watt FM station - that is what it was.
