I went to a college in Boulder (not the CU) for a couple years, twenty years ago (fuck I’m old now 😳) and that is the crunchiest granola town ever. Might as well be a CA coastal city. I can only imagine how bad it is now.

MAGAsJustBegun 81 points ago +82 / -1

I up voted cause I'd love to see it, but not happening.

Colorado, another once great Conservative state for nature lovers and mountain folks, now for liberal pussy spy boy vegans.

Fuck Colorado, sadly.

Liberals ruin everything. Northern California is what Colorado used to be. And if Northern Cali left the state to have its own representation, northern Cali would KICK ASS!

36
sentient-potato 36 points ago +36 / -0

I left CO in 2014 thinking I'd move back in 5 years or so.

Now I know that'll probably never happen, it has changed for the worse, and so fast.

52
theblackprince 52 points ago +52 / -0

What happened to CO is happening everywhere of value. That said, if you look at the voting history of CO over the last 3 elections compared to the population change, it doesn't add up. Except Dominion has a big office here, and CO went fully mail-in 7 years ago, so it does add up.

27
NoCoupForYou 27 points ago +27 / -0

Somebody from Oregon (!!!) told me the same thing. It was a lean red/flip state, until they had mail in voting.

22
theblackprince 22 points ago +22 / -0

The entire West is red. Invading liberal locusts for the most part are just brainwashed, and yet they can't tip the scales like they have been tipped. We'll never know for sure unless we install an honest voting system.

12

Michigan too. If Oregon brakes off into idaho this Michigan man is heading ur way salmon steelhead for life

Michigander here as well! Northern LP. At least a bit more based then downstate

16
NC_patriot 16 points ago +16 / -0

Mail in voting should be illegal, unless you are overseas. If you can’t get your ass to a voting location, you shouldn’t be able to vote.

I do understand exceptions for the elderly and people who are handicapped but thats about it.

6

Hot take: people on the take from government shouldn't be able to vote, because they will always vote for more gibz. Includes elderly, researchers, and the arts.

4

I totally agree that I don't think CO going red so fast was a natural occurrence.

2

3

Yeah, it's too bad. I bet before all the drugged up phish head hippies moved in it was amazing.

And I don't hate hippies or drug users. But I do haye leftists.

9
AlphaOmegaAZ 9 points ago +9 / -0

Tell me about it. Those Phish heads are the worst. I know cause I had to deal with them every year because of my job at the time. Although, it was pretty funny when they were told they couldn’t camp outside of the Rapids stadium anymore because the Prairie Dogs carried the Black Plague.

5
Joesf23 5 points ago +6 / -1

Haha! My dad used to go skiing out there every winter in the 70s and he said even then there was an invasion of deadheads and hippies. Universities expanding and brainwashing plus shitloads of illegals wrecked that state. Dominion voting also suspect there.

3
TheMerleOfHaggard 3 points ago +3 / -0

I left in Bay Area CA after 10 years, in 2014 too. Went to Portland. Now Tampa. I can't escape the libtardation infestation. At least Tampa is half sane.

18
LinWoodDidntKillHims 18 points ago +18 / -0

Lauren Boebert made into public office. That makes me think there are still some based people living in colorado. The state isn't totally lost.

24
MAGAsJustBegun 24 points ago +24 / -0

There's still tons of based people in Colorado! It's the young idiots moving there changing the landscape!

My friends back in highschool were all stoner hippies doing acid.

I steered clear of hard drugs, and smoked back then, quit many years ago due to anxiety from pot, so just stopped enjoying it...

Long story short, all of my closest friends growing up are far left, BLM supporting retards.

One who was my best friend ever, family to me, wants go live on his own and not have roommates now, but it's simply unaffordable in Colorado due to liberal policies inflating the cost of living.

He talks about Florida because it's reasonable, but said "they aren't enacting the social changes I want to see".

Yeah? Fuck you bro. Stay far away form Florida. We don't want you fucking liberals coming to our cities and states and enacting the same policy that made it too hard for you to live a comfortable life in your liberal state!

They leave liberal states because cost of living is too high, and go to red states and vote for the same shit, for "social change".

Yeah? Well with that social change comes large increases in cost of living.

If libs controlled all of America, everywhere would be too expensive.

13
LinWoodDidntKillHims 13 points ago +13 / -0

We should call the migration of libtards from blue to red areas pulling a joe rogan. The dumbass left california because of the policies making running a business way to expensive just so he can move to Texas and vote for the same policies. You'd have to be stupid or maybe he just smoked himself stupid and cant make the correlation between blue policies and being robbed of his wealth.

7
zigmund_fraud 7 points ago +7 / -0

I did my fair share of psychedelics in my day. Hell, I even was all about occupy for a good while there. Showed up with my "End The Fed" sign to Occupy Philadelphia before the state and the media decimated the whole thing.

Was once a leftist before I realized they were the ones largely responsible for creating the problems they claimed to oppose.

I'm inclined to think that much of the country is over this bullshit - everyone is just too intimidated by how loud the left is. They have a stranglehold on mainstream media and "culture" which just emboldens the woke crowd. They've successfully made reasonable folks feel alone and in the minority. Now they're cementing this with "Election Integrity" laws, EO's, and next will come the systematic outlawing of all things self-defense.

Boebert is from Southern Colorado, a town called Rifle to be exact. We are very red still in So. Colo, sadly our state is run by Boulder, Denver and Ft. Collins. Liberal shithole cities.

8
NoCoupForYou 8 points ago +8 / -0

Went to Denver maybe 12 years ago. It was clean and seemed pretty good.

Went back to Denver 3-4 years ago. A complete 180. Full of homeless begging hippies - I think y'all call them Drainbow People out there? Felt like it was on the way to San Francisco-izing.

14
kanabiis 14 points ago +14 / -0

Oh it's San Fran of the Midwest.

You can shit on the sidewalk because racism but don't you dare walk around without a mask. Denver PD will be on your ass so quick.

Went there to pick up a used car last summer during the 'lock down' had Denver PD roll up on me while I was outside smoking a cig waiting on paperwork. Was an incredibly bizarre encounter. I was standing all alone not a soul around me until the cops showed up. One actually told me I was putting his life in jeopardy, I was like, you didn't have to stop, you made the choice to get in my space, I didn't.

WTF.

7
TarHeelMAGA 7 points ago +7 / -0

Jesus fucking Christ! Are you serious? Make this insanity fucking stop!

I agree with what someone said above...that most of us are done with this bullshit and the majority of folks in America are red pilled, or at least anti-woke. But, due to the left’s stranglehold on the institutions (media, universities, Hollywood, etc..) it seems as if the country is far more woke/liberal than it is. We just need to get out there, stand the fuck up, and make ourselves heard and I think we would quickly realize we are the majority and we could start setting shit straight and taking this shit back! Of course, most are afraid of that first time coming out openly and being labeled a fucking racist/homophobe/kitchen sinkaphobe/blah blah blah....and as result having their life destroyed!

2
kanabiis 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wtf how is Pueblo part of her district? I always wondered how Aspen was also part of the same district. Honestly I have never been to Rifle I thought it was down south by Walsenburg which is also the 3rd district.

3
45orfight 3 points ago +3 / -0

The line is drawn almost along the continental divide. Except for a couple of diversions. D2 swings over and includes parts of Vail and Breckinridge. Then further south D3 goes east to include Pueblo. Rifle is almost dead center of the district on I70.

7
MAGAsJustBegun 7 points ago +7 / -0

And man, just so happens I'm in the ONLY far left county in all of upstate NY... The rest are RED.

Fml lol. I swear I'm gonna leave NY. If the past few years never happened, I'd honestly have stayed here my whole life.

I used to like where I live. I HATE IT NOW!

Total shit hole. Ghetto. Hoodrats everywhere. Constantly dealing with ghetto bullshit for no reason.

My property in the city is loaded with hoodrats litter every other day which I have to clean up. Syringes from drug addicts going into the backyard.

Break ins. Robberies. Ect.

Where I live, my city home, a rental in the making, was robbed by two heroin addicts.

The cops didn't even bother to go into my home to look for fucking evidence! I found a oil bottle weeks later hidden by one of the robbers.

Contacted the man's family, and they said "yup, he robbed is too. He's a drug addict. We will back you up to get him arrested. He needs it".

Well, cops won't do shit.

Yet, where I live, in a nice, but still far left town bordering the city, if someone broke into my home here, the cops would dust for finger prints, search for evidence, and go issue warrants.

. Fuck American inner cities. They are shit holes.

I HATE NY. Our laws and reps are garbage. I want to live in a deeply conservative state like Oklahoma, close to Texas, but not in Texas.

Texas is getting too many California liberals... Although, if I move to Texas, I can help keep it red for longer.

But Texas also has expensive cost of living. Oklahoma is DIRT CHEAP.

Where I live now, I have about the 3rd highest tax rate to property value in all of americas counties.

A house worth $100,000 in my town costs $5,000+ per year in taxes alone, and the liberals who run shit propose 4% tax raises every year or two!

Fuck liberals. Ruining all of our once amazing cities!

6
BurtMcGirt 6 points ago +6 / -0

Isn't it great to basically rent the house you paid for from the government? Property tax is such bs, especially when it is squandered.

5
MAGAsJustBegun 5 points ago +5 / -0

Seriously! Property tax shouldn't exist for your primary residence.

For owning multiple properties as a business? Sure, maybe. But even then... Idk.

Property tax is bogus. We can't own property in America.

Property tax and income tax shouldn't exist. Other taxes I understand. Not all, but many.

Those two should be abolished. If a state abolished those two taxes, I'd move there!

6
MAGAsJustBegun 6 points ago +7 / -1

Really?

San Francisco is northern California? I thought Northern California was mostly made up of broken down counties?

There are greats kick ass parts of every single state.

The bulk of each states counties are very conservative. Including NY and Cali! Remember, majoorty are leftists in these two states...

But there are still millions of very based folks here too.

6
freebirdie 6 points ago +6 / -0

Ok I actually live in California and some of the comments here are just wrong. The Bay Area is technically part of Northern California, but it's considered its own area geographically. Once you get above Sacramento, the demographics start turning red.

The central valley and Sierras are also considered their own areas, and both are much more conservative.

Southern California has lots of little conservative enclaves around and in Orange County. This is overshadowed by the giant open sewer trench known as LA, of course.

Finally you have the San Diego area which is simultaneously hugely patriotic with military bases and teeming with humans being trafficked into the country.

As for anyone still dumb enough to think people like Pelosi and Feinstein are truly elected, wake the fuck up. My vote has been stolen a lot longer than yours.

5
Kamalas_a_Bitch 5 points ago +5 / -0

As I lifelong Californian, this synopsis is quite accurate. Would only add that Mexican residents, being largely Catholic lean hella Conservative but also believe CA is a part of Mexico, so support democrat sanctuary immigration policies in order to completely conquer the state.

2
FireannDireach 2 points ago +2 / -0

There's no official borders of what is considered NorCal, but it's usually described as the northern 48 counties, starting around Fresno or San Loius Obisbo, so yes, SF is part of NorCal. And, the "broken down" counties you're referring to are the northeastern ones, which are red, but parsley populated.

You don't have to remind me that CA and NY have conservatives, I grew up in NY, and moved to CA in high school. And have returned lo live in NY for 4 years, later on.

3
Crockett 3 points ago +3 / -0

it's usually described as the northern 48 counties, starting around Fresno or San Loius Obisbo,

Native Californian here and I would totally disagree with that description. I'd agree that "Southern California" unofficially starts there, but the inverse isn't true. I'd say then you're into the "Central Coast" and the "Bay Area" before getting to anything I'd call "Northern California."

1
jeepbeersleep 1 point ago +1 / -0

im from so far north in Cali that i consider San Fran to be southern Ca. long fucking state. behind the redwood curtain is another world

1
chartmerchant 1 point ago +1 / -0

SF and Sacramento are middle Cal. OP is talking about the state of Jefferson Nor. Cal.

1
MAGAsJustBegun 1 point ago +2 / -1

You're right about San Fran! My geography is bad, as I've never visited Cali!

I was under the impression that the bulk of Northern Cali is red though, is this false?

3
NotAPuma 3 points ago +3 / -0

Top Right Corner is very Red.

2
FireannDireach 2 points ago +2 / -0

Eastern NorCal is red, but it's low population, so it doesn't have much power. Coastal Norcal is all blue.

https://www.sfchronicle.com/politics/article/How-isolated-are-California-Republicans-Let-s-14446731.php

The bulk of the population in NorCal is in SF and the East Bay, Sacramento, and outlying cities like Fresno.

https://www.eastbaytimes.com/2013/05/01/bay-area-growth-pushes-california-population-near-38-million/

1
freebirdie 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fresno is not Nor Cal. It's central valley about 120 miles south of San Jose, which is south Bay Area and bigger than Fresno. Do you actually live in CA?

1
FireannDireach 1 point ago +1 / -0

'South Bay Area" - not part of NorCal. You sure that's the hill you want to die on?

I urge you to look at a map. And then look up the definition of "Northern California". And then edit your post.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_California

And yes, I live in CA. Have since 1980, except for 4 years when I moved back to NY.

But please, keep telling me I'm wrong about something I've been aware of for 40 years.

2
freebirdie 2 points ago +2 / -0

Dude, I live in the south bay area. Greater San jose area. Have for over 50 years. Fresno is NOT nor cal. It is 120 miles south of San jose, which IS nor cal. Reading comprehension for the win.

4
Taylor_Burden 4 points ago +4 / -0

San francisco? Tf? Gay capital, USA?

1
MAGAsJustBegun 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sorry, my geography is terrible friend. Never been to Cali, I'm on the opposite side of USA.

My geography has improved a bit due to learning politics, but still quite poor when it comes to knowing city placement in Cali.

Is it true that most of northern Cali is red, or is that false?

I was lead to believe that if northern Cali was it's own state, it would give its electors to a conservative, as the majority vote red.

Is this true at all, or really not so much?

1
Crockett 1 point ago +1 / -0

You're right if you consider "Northern California" to be North of Sacramento. That's like a third of the state by landmass, and probably like 10% by population.

A Southern Californian might lump the SF Bay Area and Sacramento into "Northern California," or more likely "NorCal," but generally people from the Bay or central coast wouldn't consider themselves to be in "Northern California" as opposed to southern the same way southerners would.

1
Crockett 1 point ago +1 / -0

There's a difference between "Northern California" and "Not Southern California."

The average Californian probably can't name a single town between Sacramento and Oregon. That's "Northern California." Sacramento is like 2/3rds the way up the state. That whole area (excluding Sacramento itself), and a lot of the inland of California, are the rural "based" areas.

Almost no one would call San Francisco "Northern California." More likely the region would be referred to as "The Bay," "The Bay Area," or "SF."

Someone might include the bay area as part of "NorCal," in the context of "As opposed to Southern California," probably in the context of universities. But the connotation is different there.

1
Taylor_Burden 1 point ago +1 / -0

Bro. It's the same thing in Southern california. Rural areas are red. But this red vs blue don't mean shit when the red is filled with RINOs. I've heard multiple people from san fran refer to their home as norcal, northern california, etc. Probably because they don't want to give away they're from the Anus of America

Read the article. The arrests are not because they didn’t have masks. They flipped a car over, threw stuff at fire fighters, and charged at police officers.

The only reason this article even mentions that they were maskless is because it’s written by the cucked The Hill.

Seems like they were having a party. College studens+partying=copious amounts of alcohol.

they started firing fireworks at cops, cops wanted to arrest them, they went buck wild and flipped over a car and rushed the cops.

Sounds like drunk dummies being drunk assholes. Now we also had a summer of love where riots were praised, and the entire media and political establishment have been shitting on cops and basically telling people to not listen to them.

So it shouldn't come as a shock that a bunch of drunk college teens went wild when some cops tried to break up their party.

Now was this the football and basketball team, or the chess club?

randomusers239874 2 points ago +2 / -0

Coulter's law. Let's wait until we see some video.

1
kanabiis 1 point ago +1 / -0

Only 8% of CU Boulder is black, 800 students, guaranteed the vast majority of them were white kids.

Boulder the city is even less diverse, they have so few black people that their own website only talks about the 5 top races, white 79.8% white hispanic 7.8%, non white Hispanic 3.8%, Asian 5.5% and native American 1.5%, which make up 98% of the population of their city.

The most liberal city in Colorado is the least diverse city in Colorado.

2
randomusers239874 2 points ago +2 / -0

Only 13% of the US population is black. Given that they commit 56% of all violent crimes, if we presume the town has a large enough population to be statistically random, then we would expect about (8/13)*56 =~ 35% of the crimes in Boulder being committed by them. So there is about a 1/3 chance it was them, even though they only constitute 8% of the population there. And, we're not even taking into account that the "white" crime rate includes hispanics, so in reality the probability is much higher.

I can't argue with the math.

I live in CO and have been to Boulder lots of times though, the liberal white kids in that town are pretty crazy, like liberal white kids in Portland.

When police attempted to clear the crowd and threatened arrests and use of tear gas, about 100 people charged officers.

Gee..wonder why they didn't listen to the police? Aren't all cops heartless murdering gestapo bastards?

Tbf no one on either side likes cops right now

Uhhh . . . OP is misleading. They're facing criminal charges relating to property destruction. The only significant part of the article dealing with masks is the local health nazi going "reeeeeeeee we should still wear our merskssss reeeeee" but nothing more.

Noticing this more and more, misleading posts.

Was it violent or (((violent)))

“"I don’t regard people flipping over a car as a party. I don’t regard people throwing bottles and rocks at firefighters and police officers as a party. Those are criminal acts and will be treated as such.”"

I agree. Now apply the same standard to everyone and we might have a functioning judicial system...

officer_slater 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wait I thought the communist leftist of The people’s republic of Boulder could virtue signal 100% mask compliance. Fuck that city, stain on the state

2
NavySTG 2 points ago +2 / -0

Jared Polis should resign or be impeached for setting policies that lead to this insurrection.

2
henri_derelicte 2 points ago +2 / -0

The article says they could face charges for the violent acts that took place at said gathering, not because they chose to do so without wearing a mask

2
one_cool 2 points ago +2 / -0

They are all white kids and they flipped and burned cars so they are screwed. Even leftist Seattle charged a white girl for burning police cars.

2
Furshezil 2 points ago +2 / -0

Was there 20 years ago and you couldn't smoke a cigarette anywhere without being fined. Liberal shithole.

1
highenergywinning 1 point ago +1 / -0

can confirm. lived there in the 90s

2
HiddenDekuScrub 2 points ago +2 / -0

Did they actually do anything violent or is taking a mask off "violence" now?

I live in Boulder County. And over the last six months I have watched our China Virus CFR fall from 1.7 a few months ago. To 1.4 to 1.3 now it’s 1.294 and dropping every day...

Must be the vaccinations right???

Last week I reported our health agency TO the health agency for Covid violations calling them damn communists.

Let’s just Say I don’t take lightly to seeing Covid propaganda around my county either… Don’t think twice about “displacing” that shit

Are they fucking serious?

See at this point...I don't feel bad for any cops who get cause in the cross-fire. If you enforce this, you are agreeing to enforce unconstitutional, tyrannical, bullshit.

Furshezil 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yep, lived in Colorado from 97-2006 and the rest of Colorado used to laugh at Boulder . Sadly not anymore.

“I hear people refer to it as a party,” District Attorney Michael Dougherty said Sunday, according to The Washington Post. “I don’t regard people flipping over a car as a party. I don’t regard people throwing bottles and rocks at firefighters and police officers as a party. Those are criminal acts and will be treated as such.”

Unless it's BLM and Antifa, then it's a "mostly peaceful protest" not criminal acts, right?

1
Chochlik 1 point ago +1 / -0

Came to say unless your in Minneapolis then its mostly peaceful.

1
ShitOfPeace 1 point ago +1 / -0

Apparently this is more about vandalism, assault and property damage than being maskless.

The Hill just threw in they were maskless because they've turned into leftist propagandists that apparently think people give a shit about that since they got rid of John Solomon.

What color were they? Pretty sure the answers to whether flipping over a car and throwing bottles constitutes a party.

1
Tweedlethree 1 point ago +1 / -0

If they upset Boulder it could be the end for Colorado's Boulder born Governor.

1
RockFlagAndEagle2020 1 point ago +1 / -0

What the hell are they going on about? All I saw was a bunch of college kids having a mostly peaceful protest.

1
scooternutz 1 point ago +1 / -0

Throw some BLM signs and 'poof' they give you the keys to the city and Lebron bailed you out of jail.

1

I hate the Hill.

1

So now the DA IS THE STATE GOVERNMENT

1
Change-maker22 1 point ago +1 / -0

So BLM can burn police cars and throw boyyles, etc and nothing happens but if these students do it then they face criminal charges.

1
acasper 1 point ago +1 / -0

Acceleration. They think they can stop the fuse from burning.

1
ukfan758 1 point ago +1 / -0

The people flipping cars and jumping on them should definitely be charged, but the rest of the protestors shouldn’t.

"violent mask-less gathering"

“I don’t regard people flipping over a car as a party. I don’t regard people throwing bottles and rocks at firefighters and police officers as a party."

Yes, I believe that's a "peaceful protest"

As many as 800 predominantly unmasked University of Colorado Boulder students gathered late Saturday afternoon

The real crime

So... what was the gathering about? What was the violence erupted over? Modern Journalism everyone. I read the article and the only thing I have gathered is that some dipshits decided to be violent idiots.

Sounded more like a riot and they should face criminal charges.

For rioting. Not for not wearing masks.
