My Grandpa fought in the pacific in WW2, he came back, got married to my Grandma, and worked 2-3 jobs until he had enough saved to start his own company, and his goal was to make sure his kids didn't have to work 1/10th as much as he did... And while that's kind and selfless, that's where he went wrong. He provided for his family, built a business which he eventually turned over to my aunt, and now she works hard to keep it going. My dad largely went off on his own at 17, started digging ditches for a plumbing company. Eventually after becoming a certified master plumber, started his own company, and provided for us, but also prepared us to be able to provide for ourselves (something his sister's except for 1 never managed to figure out.). Ironically what fucked the boomer generation was the work ethic of their parents blazing a trail for them. They never faced struggle or strife, at least the college pricks who spit in the faces of Vietnam vets when they finished their stint as the ones forced to pull the short straws. But this soft generation, who never earned callouses on their hands, raised an entire generation of the softest pussies in history, and they're the ones voting, and engineering software algorithms, and steering the media narrative... They're the ones making the bed were all going to have to sleep in. The few who have slept on the cold hard ground before though... because sometimes they had no choice, or they had good parents who wanted them to understand that life's not always sunshine and rainbows and egyptian cotton sheets... They're the ones who will persevere. Like that old saying, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. I say when the going gets tough, the pussies cry and need their safe space and will be devoured by they elements they don't understand
Millennials are a pustule on society.
So are the Boomers and Xers who cater to them and coddle them.
Yes. Generational genocide. Only the greatest generation should be allowed to live.
