I will be honest here, GAB needs to be hacked because they need to improve their security. All big techs have been hacked in the past, and it helped them improve their security.

Keep punching GAB!

I'm more okay with the hacking, but the mosaic is too far. Though it could be the kick in the pants Torba needed to realize having premium (or verified i cant tell) where you have to take a picture with yourself and your license AND storing those pictures is an atrocious idea in this political climate.

Lefty commie scum will never leave people alone. They follow and live off productive people like leeches, ticks or parasites and ruin everything they can along the way. They’re miserable people and misery loves company so they want to make others miserable.

This is bullshit. A complete atrocity. What kind of lowlife, degenerate, loser surfs gab and takes a screenshot in LIGHT mode?!

Those would be the mentally ill tranny demon hackers Andrew warned about.

Hack away. I'm not a retard.

The problem however is that one of the first rules of a security breach is to come clean with your clients. So either the hacker is lying or Torba has failed to come clean.

Is that federal or state law? I am pretty sure that them hacking his account/whole system and telling everyone on the planet counts as a notification.

You're misunderstanding. There is no law that I'm aware of that affects a company like Gab. (I believe that there are such laws for companies involved in other areas such as finance but I could be wrong about that.) The point however is that it has long been established by the IT industry that coming clean on breaches in a timely manner is necessary for the protection of the users.

Gab would have had to made an announcement and contacted their users so that the users could change passwords and or make suitable arrangements. That is just stand operating practice when major breaches occur.

Well, yeah. Just saying that the hackers hacking and telling the whole world about it, kind of covers that. It isnt like it's a secret. Oh, and just for kicks; Never negotiate with terrorists. You lose either way.

I’ll use Gab even more. God rebuke the devil.

Hmm..

That is why I set Gab up with a unique password I don't use anywhere else. I didn't want to take a chance on them getting hacked.

Two Factor Authentication.

Geez, I’ve never seen so many whining babies dissing someone who offers a free speech platform. Grow up boys. Andrew is the real deal, and he’s investigating an internal hacker...one within the ranks. All will be well.

Demonic tranny hacker, trying to blackmail Andrew Torba, who does not negotiate with demons. But Gab users are despicable...

E-dantes 3 points ago +3 / -0

No. My info is one: not on Gab, and two: if it was; never negotiate with terrorists.

They need to spend some of that Gab Pro money on a WAF.

I don't know what law enforcement agency he would work with. The FBI is clearly not a friendly agency or interested in law & order in political matters that might not be in their favor.

He posted about a bug bounty programs in a news article but it never came to fruition.
