I just created a new ProtonMail mailbox and changed my email in my .win settings. I have to have a way to reset my password, since it doesn't ask for it often.
If it ever asks for your password, first try a completely bogus password that you know is not your actual password. If it works, the site has been compromised. This was the instructions given by the mods back in December when the fraud fight was hearing up.
I’d rather lose my internet points than give out my email. Heck, this is my second account and my prior account was full of internet points for posts and comments.
Thank you, YES, I do that everytime I have to put my password in (whether I intended to or not!). I remember reading that a few months ago, to do that.
While I know life wouldn't be over if I lost my .win account/points, it only took 2 or 3 minutes to create the protonmail mailbox, and there is no way I could be doxxed from it.
