They want to stain Cuomo's reputation badly enough that he doesn't take that inflated ego he got after winning that Emmy and use that momentum to consider running for the Oval Office. Remember back last Spring/Summer during all of those daily COVID TV pressers he was actually polling well for the Dems as a potential Presidential candidate. The people behind Kamala are vicious, and Cuomo isn't part of that crowd.
