My dad's in his seventies and so's my mom. They are very excited about getting their first shot in a couple of weeks. I'd try harder than I have to convince them otherwise, but it's useless.
My parents are 69 and got the first dose even after I tried explaining things to them. They know nothing about this shot, that it’s not really a vaccine, Provides no immunity, that this type of shot has never been tested long term. All they care about is being able to get on a plane and travel with less restrictions which probably won’t even be the case.
I went for a physical and my doctor said it was a good choice that I wasn’t getting the shot. He also slyly said “you didn’t hear that from me”. I could tell he’s strongly against it but reticent to discuss his feelings on fears it would damage his practice.
I am so sorry for your loss. Words just don't cut it anymore, we've all had so many heartbreaks from this nightmare. I've added your brother (and you) to my prayers. +++
Anecdotal, but everyone here who has taken it got SMASHED when they took the second dose. Most missed a week of work with what they describe as "Worst flu of my life".
So sorry to hear that. I had a family member get the first one, they are now borderline diabetic and low white blood cell count. Im hoping he Doesn’t get the second shot.
Same thing happened to my brothers friend. Healthy 37 year old died 4 days after his second dose. Really, really sad. People need to do some serious, serious research and thinking before getting this "vaccine".
Very sad to hear. I really don't think the average person understands the actual level of threat the virus poses to them. They're caught up in the media's death tally and year-long hysteria.
I don't know what's so hard to believe about it. This happened to my brother's friend, a perfectly healthy 37 year old cop in the San Diego area. Died 4 days after his second dose. He felt sick at first and took two days off. Went back to work, two days later on a call got short of breath and collapsed. Died on the way to the hospital. Left behind a wife and 3 and 5 year old kids.
Very sorry to hear.
My 68yo father with alzhiemers is obsessed with getting his shot in the next 2 weeks.
I swear my mother is letting him do it in case it ends his miserable quality of life.
They used to call the flu an old man's best friend. I am having trouble convincing them he has a hi risk of dying.
But, maybe my daughter will wake up

So sorry to hear about your loss anyway.

Got any receipts? Not wanting to pry or question, just want to make sure everyone gets a hard fucking dose of reality.

Really sorry you lost your brother, man :(
Oh my gosh... I'm so sorry for your loss, especially since it didn't have to happen at all.

Are the 1st and 2nd shot the same thing?
My sympathies dear Pede. This is awful.
Obit link?
Understood. I will leave it alone.
No prob
Situation solved in new. Long before you replied.
It won’t exist.
This is faker than a $3 bill. It’s amazing how we’re skeptical of everything but what we want to hear, then we throw all logic out the window.
