This isn't free market capitalism bud, it's crony capitalism, exploiting the unholy union between private and public sector. These companies would never have amassed to their current status without major help from the government.

The problem is that capital doesn't go to improving the nation whatsoever, it gets hoarded more and more by capitalists trying to improve their own personal wealth even though they're already worth more than anyone could spend in several lifetimes.

What's wrong with people keeping their money? Do you really believe the government knows how to spend it better? What's important is voters keeping a close eye on their representatives to keep them on the straight and narrow so they aren't unduly influenced by specialized interests. Voters are as much to blame, if not more so than just about anyone. The only reason our government is so fucked is because we got lazy and stopped holding them accountable for their actions.

The voters are just as controlled by capital. Look at MSM. That's why capitalists love democracy.

Unless you're living like a monk or in a jungle, every person and political system in the world is motivated by capital. It's not perfect because humans are imperfect, but it's still the best system we've come up with so far. The reality is there will always be someone smarter, more motivated, who works harder and has better connections. That's just the way the world is, and no amount of redistribution will change that. All that accomplishes is to drive away investors and innovation. Why work extra hard to get ahead when someone else will reap the fruits of your labor? That's a recipe for resentful mediocrity.
