Just look at zimbabwe... They kicked out the white farmers and redistributed land back to the locals. Within 2 years they were having famines. Within 5 years they were begging white farmers to come back.
The locals couldn't manage the land, they have zero education and zero understanding of how to farm.
A lot of those same white farmers were welcomed into Zambia instead, and the agricultural situation there is booming as a result, just in 2016 they apparently increased their maize production to 3.3 tonnes, which was the highest recorded in all of Zambian history. Not sure what the numbers are in recent years, but I'm sure Zambia is reaping the benefits in place of Zimbabwe.
