This is probably pre-planned. They needed the dogs for the photo ops right after the fake inauguration. Now that everyone knows they are 'cool dog owners' the dogs are just in the way, and no longer necessary for marketing the family. Plus, even now, Biden seems to spend more time in Delaware than anywhere else.
