I don't blame you for not understanding crypto. It takes alot of reading and re reading before it clicks.

With bitcoin Transactions are public but source and destination is anonymous. There are no personal details stored on the block chain.

There are other reasons to not trust bitcoin. Look up "blockstream sabotaged bitcoin". I suspect the 3 letter agencies or the fed are behind that at some level.
