I told my wife in 2016 that Trump was going to struggle. He's worked his entire life in his own company surrounded by people who want to succeed and to make the company succeed. That's the polar opposite of what you find in government. Government workers think that working hard will just mean you get more work. And government leaders know they won't be there more than a few years so they use that time to enrich themselves. There's no way he was prepared for the ineptitude and conniving schemers that populate our government.
